this forms the rules for chapter membership. HOG Charter
To join Plymouth Chapter UK membership fees are payable. The cost
of initial Full Membership (your first year) is £35 for HOG
International members (applicants must be member of international
HOG), and £5 for an Associate Member. Please note that an Associate
Membership must be sponsored by a Full Chapter Member. Renewal of
membership is £15 for Full Members and £5 for Associate
Members.
What is the Plymouth Chapter, UK?
Plymouth Chapter, UK is a local motorcycle group made up of
Harley-Davidson owners and their families. This local H.O.G.
Chapter is officially recognised by Harley-Davidson and H.O.G
internationally and is sponsored by the Plymouth Harley-Davidson
dealership.
How does it all work?
To enable a worldwide network of HOG groups to operate as one
'family', HOG International lay down some clear guidelines that
Local groups must follow. These guidelines are called the "Annual
Charter for H.O.G. Chapters". A local Chapter such as Plymouth
Chapter, UK have a formal committee set up to organise and promote
events and benefits to members of the Chapter. This committee is
made up from Harley owners that volunteer their skills and
experience to organise various aspects of the Chapter.
How do I become an International HOG member?
When a rider purchases a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle they are
given their first years' membership to International HOG free,
after this they renew their subscription annually. Alternatively,
any Harley-Davidson motorcycle owner can apply to join the
International HOG by providing their motorcycle VIN number and the
appropriate membership fee. So, any owner of a Harley-Davidson
motorcycle can be an International HOG member. Non Harley-Davidson
owners or riders are also able to join as Associate Members, but
must be sponsored by an existing HOG international member. More

How do I join the Plymouth Chapter, UK?
Firstly, you need to be an International HOG member. Then you can
join the Plymouth Chapter, UK by completing an application form
which is available by clicking the link above to
download. Complete the form and send it to the membership
secretary with the annual subscription (£35.00 for new members and
£5 for new associate members).
What benefits will I receive as a member of Plymouth Chapter
UK?
As an international HOG member you will already be entitled to a
range of benefits from discounts on genuine Harley-Davidson parts,
accessories to travel and insurance benefits. Plymouth Chapter, UK
will send you a membership card, a pin badge and sew on patch to
tell fellow riders that you are a member. In addition you will be
entitled to attend events such as organised rideouts, social
gatherings, fun days and even motorcycle rallies. The success of
such events depends on the support of the Chapter Members and the
dedication and time commitment from the Chapter Committee… it's a
motorcycling family in the broadest sense.
What is the dealer involvement?
The Plymouth Chapter operates on a self funding basis (your
subscriptions and income from events will enable the Chapter to
grow and offer further events and benefits to members). Plymouth
Harley-Davidson are the sponsors of the Chapter and have helped
support the setting up of our local chapter by underwriting
considerable initial costs to provide facilities from bank accounts
to membership cards and merchandise stocks. Plymouth Harley-Davidsn
will continue to have close involvement with both the running of
the Chapter and its events. The dealer is responsible for ensuring
that the chapter operates in accordance with the "Annual Charter
for H.O.G. Chapters" and H.O.G. operating policies and can also
suspend or revoke memberships.
